Cheam Felt Roofing was formed in 1983. The company began working with large Main Building contractors, such as McAlpine, M J Gleesons, Higgs & Hill, Croudace, Benson’s, Tarmac Group & many more, completing both large and small projects.
A few years later Cheam Felt Roofing expanded their operation through contracts with the London Boroughs of Merton & Sutton. The company was responsible for maintaining, and if necessary renewing, the old roofing for the schools and office buildings. At the same time Local Letting & Management companies engaged Cheam Felt Roofing to look after the majority of their portfolio in maintenance work.
